Day 1

Got in early the morning of Thursday, bout 10:30am. Thought it'd be a good idea. However, preregisters couldn't pick up their stuff till 3 pm and on top of that, Rora wasn't at the hotel yet. Got her on the phone to figure out we couldn't check in till 3pm as they wouldn't have any rooms cleaned and ready till then. So I spent till then drawing and chatting with Rebel Squirrel (a furre who wandered by and saw me sketching).

Well, Rora showed up and it's was a happy time. Hugs and smiles and laughter (for the most part at my expense... my new name is "Mr Tickles" T_T;;; ). Wasn't much to do the whole day as nothing AC related really occured. Went and got some grub, played some Guitar Hero, and watched Spirit: Stallion of the Cimerron and EuroTrip (both movies I hadn't seen till last night.)

The con, even yesterday, is FULL of furres. Furres as far as the eye can see... it's is glorious. Today seems like it's going to be fun. I'll have more on that later, though.

Day 2

Friday went excellent. Started by meeting up with Canis for a few minutes. He wasn't in costume, but it was awesome to see him. Wished Cindy and I a congrats on the wedding while I was looking for people on the post board thingy where people put where they are located or how they can be reached. Put my room number and phone number up there, but no one has tried contacting me yet.

Almost spent my entire allowance of cash at the Dealer's Den and Artist Alley already. Down to $12 bucks out of $85. Well... some of that was also spent on food the day before, so it was more like outta $75. Still... spent alot. Planning on cheating on my allowance and pulling another $20 out of the machine. Got some nice prints, 2 stickers I put on my sketch book, and a pegasus plushie I've been carrying around on my head and shoulders [with the help of Rora I've come to name her Minuna (Me-noo-nah)].

Watched 2's Rant and damn near pissed myself. He looked and felt a little different this year (and I mean beyond the shaved head). But... he was still funny as hell, so it's easily overlooked and forgotten xP.

That night we geeked out again on movies. This time it was the Labrynth and Mom and Dad Save the World. Good fun. A little ways in to the movie a friend of MidnightDraven (one of my roommates and friend from home) came over to draw. Paladinthug I think was the name of the artist, and we all kinda got into drawing stuff. Overall, a good night and expect to have an equally good day today.

Day 3

Saturday was okay. Went to a room with an event named "History of Furres in Video Games" and it wasn't all that great. Felt like I was in a message board or chat room about the subject and there really wasn't anything as far as visual aide to bring some form of enjoyment to the topic. Just chatter reminicing about past and future possible games with anthros in them. Then went to the "Great Pawpet Show" under Aurora's recommendation, which turned out to be more horrible than hell. One puppeteer with one puppet that he wasn't puppeteering good at all. Then he just rambled on through his puppet about stupid crap. Left early from both of those.

I got to play some 2-player Guitar Hero in the gaming room and had LOTS of fun, as I've never played Guitar Hero 2-player before. Mainly I was there to sign up for the Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament they were going to hold later that night.

Before the tournament, I got in a little bit of the Dealer's Den to pick up my badge from tempestfang and mingle with her a bit. Got to meet up with Canis again, and we chatted and I gave him my phone number before we parted ways again.

Back at the hotel, Aurora and I trained for the SSBM tournie.

The tournament was a LOT longer than anyone expected. It was suppose to run from 7pm - 9:30pm, but when I finally lost and left it was 10:30pm and we had just reached the semi-finals after my loss. The tournament was a best 2 out of 3 matches with 6 stock and 8 minute time limit. This is how I did:
Round 1: I won by default (my opponenet didn't show)
Round 2: Won in 2 rounds with Shiek against Yoshi
Round 3: Lost in 2 rounds with Shiek to Fox
I can't remember my opponents names, but I had a good time and all despite losing one round befor the semi-finals (which woulda earned me a prize). The first place prize was a copy of Super Smash Bros BRAWL for the Wii, which was something I wanted to try real damn hard for... but... oh well.

After that, my little group split up with MJ and Mikey heading back to the room, Rora heading for the Zoo, and Cindy and I heading for the furry dancy thingy. THAT WAS FUN!!! ... and very tiring. It's kinda funny watching the fursuiters wabbling around... er, I mean dancing XD Cindy and I got to put our little knowledge in swing dancing to the test and just goof around with stupid made up dance moves as well. After I got over my initial embarrassment it turned out to be very fun.

Just 1 day to go, and there isn't much going on except for one last run through the Artist's Alley, Dealer's Den, and a few other shows and auctions that don't really interest me. The worst part is going to be those bittersweet goodbyes. Well, I had lots of fun this year... lets make the last day as enjoyable as possible. L8r

Day 4

Well, AC is over and I'm home and bored out of my freakin' mind. *le sigh*

Packed and checked out of the hotel at noon and had plenty of thoughts and wonderful memories. A few regrets that I couldn't get to meet everyone I wanted and only had a brief meeting with some... a few that come to mind are Canis, Shinigamigirl, and Dreamaria (who I didn't get to see at all). At least I met and hung out a bit with some wonderful furres. Anya and NaniOokami... it was... *takes deep breath* EXCELLENT to get to meet you in person. You were both so nice and easy for this shy pegasus to converse with Guyver, it was a PLEASURE to get to meet up with you yet again and share cutesy pokemon sound effects, lol. Pegs and Redkam... *bows gentlemanly* an HONOUR! And of course... my favorite herdmate and friend of friends, Rora. Getting to spend those days with you reminded me what it was like to have a real friend, and you're more than fun to be around, sis. *BIG HUG* Till next year ... ... I hopes *crosses his finger*

I met up with a bunch of furres that, I assume, are friends of Rora's. Grew myself some balls and actually tried to introduce myself and get some contact info to them and from them to make friends. Lets see how that plays out Not expecting any immediate results, but at least I gave it shot. And for me to do that is WAY out of character for me.
